Six heterotrophic bacteria have been blended to develop this unique product. All the bacteria have been isolated from autochthonous sources and characterized individually for their probiotic, biofloc potential and in-vitro antimicrobial capability, and tolerance to ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Further, the non-habiting (compatibility) of the mix of the bacteria is also studied and found to be compatible when cultured together without losing important probiotic and growth potential. The product can effectively produce biofloc in culture conditions when added and helps in maintaining water quality, better growth and survivability of fish under culture.
