Tissue Embedding Machine (For Histology Process Technology)

Background:
An automatic tissue embedding machine is highly costly (approximately Rs. 12,00,000/-) and could not be affordable by general colleges/universities and normal histopathology laboratories. Furthermore, the traditional method is a more tedious and time-consuming process. The machine developed by ICAR-CIFRI could satisfy the quality of tissue with less skilled and low prices which is affordable for all working on histology.

Technology Details:
The machine is having the following novel innovation to perform extremely better than the existing machines. These are as given below:

• User-friendly for College/University students and histological laboratory with extremely low cost in comparison to automatic tissue embedding machine.
• Less weight and required less space (table top model).
• Much skill is not required to operate unlike automatic tissue embedding machine.
• The quality of the tissue embedded in the machine is at par with automating machine.
• ICAR-CIFRI machine can handle more than 500 samples at a time due to the large volume (8l) of the paraffin reservoir.
