The separation of cashew nuts from cashew apples is a labor-intensive process which can be abbreviate by using the portable pedal-operated shear-type cashew apple and nut separator offering the following advantages:

• The developed portable pedal-operated shear-type cashew apple and nut separator can fit a wide range of nut sizes, from small to bold.
• The device easily removes the nuts from the cashew apple, saving farmers time and effort.
• Its lightweight construction and small size make it portable and convenient to use in a variety of locations.
• The designed nut separator requires less maintenance, which lowers downtime and boosts output.
