A Novel Bacillus albus strain NBAIR-BATP with excellent insecticidal, antagonistic and growth promotion properties for the management of pests and diseases

Bacillus albus strain NBAIR-BATP is very effective in the management of fall armyworm infesting maize, tomato pinworm and thrips species. Foliar spray of Bacillus albus strain NBAIR-BATP indicated more than 80-85% reduction in the damage of maize fall armyworm. B. albus strain effectively produced siderophores, chitinase, proteases, cellulases, lipases and indole acetic acid with ability to suppress the plant diseases caused by soil borne pathogens and tremendous increase in the yield of target crops.
