Background:
The presently available open pollinated varieties are less productive and price of hybrid seeds is very high. Besides attractive shiny purple long brinjal variety are not available in the market.

The productivity of this variety is high as compared to national productivity. Farmer can earn good income by cultivating the variety. Due to shiny purple in colour this variety will be preferred by the consumers.
