Pre TransCare (Anti-Transport Stress Prebiotic Oral Powder for Sheep)

Background:

Stress is unavoidable in farming and managemental practices such as handling, overcrowding and transport in small ruminants. During the stressful conditions, rumen as well as intestinal microbiome ecology gets disturbed leading to impaired digestion, absorption of nutrients which causes impaired gut health, reduction of performances and immunity. Particularly stress due to transportation of farm animals causes significant disturbances in microbiome balance, gut microarchitecture and health thus leading to poor performance and impaired welfare of sheep.

Technology Details:

This product combines selected prebiotic ingredients that are easily available and cost eXective. These prebiotic components are mixed at appropriate proportions and supplemented to sheep to alleviate the negative eXects caused by transportation stress by enhancing the populations of beneficial microbes and restoring the gut architecture and health.
