White Tail Disease (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii Nodavirus (MrNV) Detection Kit

In this crucial juncture, CIFA has made a breakthrough in developing a genome-based detection system of this Macrobrachium rogenbergii nodavirus, the causative agent of WTD. Nested RT-PCR-based diagnostics have been standardized to detect linearized RNA segment of MrNV, which have the detection limits of 0.01 fg (~four virus particles) for the RNA segment II. The kit can be used to screen live broods to remove carriers and also the seeds to remove contamination.
