Bio NPK-Liquid Biofertilizer (PGPB Consortium)

To solve the problem of carrier based biofertilizer, which had short comings of less microbial viability resulting in poor response in field, Bio NPK-Liquid biofertilizer (Plant Growth Promoting Bacterial-PGPB consortium) technology was developed at AAU and brief details of technology are given below. Unique traits of ‘Bio NPK-Liquid biofertilizer (PGPB consortium)’.

  • Bio NPK-Liquid biofertilizer (PGPB consortium) is a consortium of nitrogen fixing (Azotobacter chroococcum ABA 1, Azospirillum lipoferum ASA 1), Phosphate solubilizing and Potash mobilizing native bacteria (Bacillus 3 sp.), which are all compatible with each other.
  • Shelf life more than 1 year
  • Microbial population of 50 crores per ml
  • Better efficiency
  • Save Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potash to the tune of 25-30 %
  • Increase crop production up to 8-10 %
  • Eco-friendly and non-polluting
  • Easy to use and transport
  • Acceptable by farmers
  • Suitable for drip irrigation and greenhouse
  • Highly advantageous for organic farming.
  • Useful in all crops however, when it is to be used in pulses, application of Rhizobium culture with Bio NPK is desirable.
