Powder formulation of Bacillus megaterium NBAIR 63 for growth promotion and management of bacterial wilt disease

Powder-based formulation of Bacillus megaterium strain NBAIR63 was found to be a promising and effective antagonist against the wilt disease caused by Ralstonia solanacerum in tomato and brinjal. The antagonist induced systemic resistance against wilt diseases through activity of phenolic enzymes. This bacterium colonizes the root zone effectively and has phosphate solubilization ability.
