Nano-herbal formulation to control fish parasite

The nano-herbal formulation for the effective control of major fish parasites, particularly Argulus (fish lice) and Lernaea (anchor worm) is based on a neem-derived nano-herbal formulation and is applied through an immersion treatment, resulting in rapid parasite detachment and mortality within approximately 2–2.5 hours under tested conditions. It has demonstrated effectiveness against parasitic infections in freshwater, brackish-water, marine and ornamental fish, making it broadly applicable to different aquaculture systems. The formulation provides a rapid and effective approach for managing fish parasites, particularly during seasons when parasitic infestations are prevalent, and offers potential as a plant-based alternative for sustainable parasite management in aquaculture.
